FLOATATION THERAPY
“Unlike traditional floatation pods, our premium open float tank in Canberra offers a more expansive and unrestricted experience. Say goodbye to feeling claustrophobic!”
Floatation therapy, also known as sensory deprivation or isolation therapy, involves floating effortlessly in an open pool filled with a solution of warm water and Epsom salts. This unique environment allows you to experience zero-gravity relaxation that cannot be matched by anything else.
As the water is heated to skin temperature, it creates a sensation of floating in space . . . absolute bliss!

Frequently Asked Questions
Who should use float therapy?
Whether you’re a busy professional seeking stress relief, an active person in need of recovery, or someone looking to enhance their overall well-being, or simply seeking a space to disconnect and rejuvenate, float therapy is suitable for individuals of all ages and lifestyles. Each session is tailored to your specific needs, ensuring a personalised experience.
How often should I float?
While you can float every day without harm, we find that the relaxing effects of a one-hour float typically last beyond that day. For best results, we recommend regular sessions, and many clients find that floating once or twice a month provides the most benefits. For the serious floater we highly recommend choosing our 90 minute float sessions.
What can I expect from my first session?
During your first float session, you can expect a soothing and peaceful experience. Our floatation tank is spacious, comfortable, and designed to eliminate distractions. The water is infused with Epsom salts, providing a buoyant and detoxifying experience. You will have complete control over your session, including options for light and music preferences, including a starlit ceiling.
If you’re a first-time floater we highly recommend choosing our Intro Pack of 3 sessions. Why? Because it takes 3 sessions before you really feel the benefits of floating and reap all the benefits.
Your first time floating is like having training wheels; your body is adjusting to the weightlessness and sensory deprivation. You may find it hard to relax and fully let go.
During your second float your body and nervous system starts to get the hang of it and eases into it more easily. You finally start to relax.
In your third session that’s where you’re able to fully let go and reap all the benefits of floating!
What do I need to do to prepare for a float?
To prepare for your float, we recommend avoiding caffeine and large meals beforehand. We require that you have a quick rinse in our shower before entering the float tank to remove any oils, lotions, or makeup. But most importantly . . . relax. The float pool will help but if you arrive relaxed, the experience will be more beneficial for you. Everything else including towels, earplugs, shower facilities etc. will be provided to make your experience seamless. It may also be good to book your float at a time where you don’t have to rush. Many people enjoy savouring the peace and quiet before jumping back into their day or into something hectic.
Do I wear anything in the tank?
Since it is a private experience, most people don’t wear any clothing. You’ll have the room to yourself and be required to shower before and after. Anything you wear will press against your body, becoming a distraction. But you are welcome to wear a bathing suit if you wish.
Can I float if I’m pregnant?
Yes, you can absolutely float during your pregnancy! Floating allows you to escape the added weight of pregnancy, taking the strain off your body – especially your feet – and spine.
However, if you’re in your first trimester or third trimester, or have any concerns please consult your doctor before booking in. Our centre won’t book a float after 36 weeks.
Also, because each woman’s pregnancy journey is different, it’s always best to first speak to your doctor before trying out floating at any stage of pregnancy.
Do I need to wear earplugs?
We strongly recommend using your complimentary ear plugs during your float. Although rare, the salinity of the water can cause moisture to get stuck in some ear canals resulting in an uncomfortable feeling days later. This possibility is completely avoided by using the earplugs.
